The Owner of Family Indoor Shooting Range and their Webmaster Threatened with Legal Action.

Over the years the owners of  POPGUNS and the new owner of the Family Indoor Shooting Range has prided itself in offering a quality web presence which included news stores - some funny and many very serious.

Our webmaster from Greenfield Industries and the owner of the Family Indoor shooting range has been victim to threats of litigation due to our posting news stores.  One of the many stories we've posted is about a Mr. Michael S. Sherfick who at one time was a register sex offender who the Boone county sheriff and the Perry township constables office had given revoked the police powers they had given them.  We have received numerous hand delivered letters from a person representing himself as Mr. Michael S. Sherfick's attorney.

Each letter states the same thing, that if we do not remove all defamatory reference from our sites including the links to channel 6 news stories, they will sue the webmaster Mike Hilton and the owners of the Family Indoor Shooting Range and Channel 6.  Each letter states that information must be removed by a certain date usually, 10 days from the time written.

The owner says enough is enough - We only pass on information posted on News - The facts are verified- She has directed the IT staff to continue with our program of bring Law Enforcement and Firearms related news to our Web pages.

Further she as directed the webmaster to build and market a new site devoted to Law Enforcement and firearms news and to key in on individuals who appear to be as she stated " Working the system".

Oops - It would appear that Mr. Michael Sherfick's legal representative may be a bit  busy to harass us with threats of legal action for our web site postings. Has Sherfick done it again.

In addition the site will honor and applaud the fine work of the other 99.99% of the Law Enforcement community who do their job each day with honor and integrity.
