Although nylon has been
utilized in the firearms accessory industry for a number of years.
It is only recently that this light weight durable material has
seen a major increase of use in heavy weight Nylon weapon
cases, range bags, backpacks and more. The consumer needs
to be aware of the possible quality differences when making a
purchasing decision: The weight of the Nylon and quality of
stitching work.
Nylon weight is rated in "Denier" The easiest
explanation when relating to nylon gear is that the larger the
number the thicker the nylon. The "Denier" increases as
the thickness of the fibers increase.
Quality Stitching:
Double stitching - Without physically getting your hands on the
product it is difficult to determine the quality of the
stitching.
An additional factor to
consider when purchasing nylon gear is the thickness of the
padding to protect your firearms investment.
